Ruleset & governance change log

What changed in the compliance engine and the governance features — in plain language, newest first. The full 17-rule list with policy sources lives in How CopyForge checks copy.

  1. Ruleset 2026.09.1

    effective 2026-09-05
    • Current ruleset: 17 documented checks across Amazon, Shopify, SEO, Meta and email channels.
    • Amazon channel rules carry the 27 July 2026 title change: 75-character non-media titles plus the 125-character Item Highlights field.
    • Environmental-claim rules cite Directive (EU) 2024/825 (empowering consumers for the green transition) — kept deliberately separate from the pending Green Claims Directive proposal.
  2. Product & governance

    effective 2026-09-17
    • Claim conditions shipped: a claim can now carry a scope qualifier, allowed channels and allowed markets, and the generator enforces all three — restricted claims are withheld from runs where they do not apply.
    • Claims can carry a review-by date; daily monitoring raises an alert when it passes.
    • Free root-level checkers launched: Amazon title, Amazon backend keywords (249-byte), product claims, FTC claims and Meta ad copy.
    • Evidence vault accepts PDF, TXT, CSV, Markdown, PNG, JPEG, DOCX and XLSX (verbatim storage for PDF/images/Office), plus URL-reference records.
  3. Product & governance

    effective 2026-09-13
    • Monitoring pagination defect fixed: every product in a catalog is visited exactly once per run (ordering used to change under the cursor and skip rows).
    • Catalog exports hardened against CSV formula injection.
    • Agency plan includes API + webhooks (60 requests/minute).

Rule changes are versioned in code and reviewed before they take effect; the scanner always reports the ruleset version it used. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
