Title and description best practices
Keep meta titles under about 60 characters and meta descriptions under 155 characters so search engines do not truncate them. Put the primary keyword near the front of the title, and make the description read like a benefit, not a keyword list.
Write one unique title and description per page. Duplicated metadata across product pages signals thin content to search engines.
Small things that move the needle
Use clean, descriptive URLs, add structured data (schema.org) for product and breadcrumb, and make sure every image has descriptive alt text. On-page speed and mobile-friendliness are ranking factors you control.
Most importantly, write for a human first. Metadata that accurately describes the page earns better click-through than clickbait that matches queries but disappoints visitors.
