Amazon Bullet Point Formula

Benefit-led bullet formulas for safer product listings.

Feature to benefit, not feature to fact sheet

Every bullet should answer "so what?" for the buyer. "1L capacity" becomes "Holds a full liter — enough hydration for a long hike." Lead with the benefit, support it with the spec, and keep it under about 200 characters per bullet.

Use the first bullet for your strongest differentiator, since it is the most visible in expanded views.

Back each claim with proof

If you say "leakproof," have the test to back it. If you say "1-year warranty," make sure the warranty text matches your real policy. Invented proof in bullets is the fastest way to a negative review and a policy warning.

A compliance scanner can catch risky wording before you publish, but it cannot verify your facts for you.
